Our founder, the late Murray A Percival Sr. in a previous location in the late 1980s |
The Murray A. Percival Company was founded forty years ago by Murray A. Percival Sr. The company was registered with the state of Michigan on January 4, 1960. On November 22, 1960, an agreement was signed with Electrovert to represent their company in the Detroit area. Murray started with the Insuloid line ( electrical wiring devices ) and shortly thereafter signed on as the Flowsolder representative for Electrovert. At that time flow soldering, now more commonly known as wave soldering, had not yet been introduced to the Americas.
On December 2, 1975 the Murray A. Percival Co. signed an agreement with Alpha Metals Inc. to distribute their products. Our organization is one of the first to realize that selling both capital equipment and the required production materials to the end user was the key to success. Over the next few years additional equipment and supply type lines were added to the company line card as the need for these products grew.
Today the company continues to serve our customers with 16 employees, located throughout offices in Michigan, Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky and our newest location Indiana! Our warehouse and headquarters is located in our new 12,000 square foot building in Auburn Hills Michigan. Because of our long standing reputation and the determination of our employees we are able to offer our customers some of the most sought after circuit assembly materials and equipment in the industry. Not only can we provide material and equipment but we also offer training, consulting, testing services and process development just to name a few.
Our future will include a full line catalog, on-line technical presentations and e-commerce to make your job more effective and easier. Thank you for taking an interest in our company.
