This device has four wet sponges which neatly removes residual solder and flux residue from the iron tip. An internal sponge allows the water to wick up to keep the main cleaning sponges wet throughout the day. The solder process remains very clean with the addition of this tip cleaning device. The tip cleaning operation is normally completed during pallet or table movement so minimal or no cycle time is added to the process.
